## GMAT quant and Data Sufficiency practice

Practise arithmetic and algebra, then work on Data Sufficiency and data interpretation. Original questions and worked explanations help you review the reasoning behind an answer.

**Data Sufficiency belongs to Data Insights.** On the GMAT, Quantitative Reasoning and Data Insights are separate sections. QD offers supplementary practice across relevant skills; it does not simulate a complete GMAT exam. QD drill timers are practice limits, not official exam pacing.

### Choose a practice skill

#### Data Sufficiency

Decide whether each statement is enough before combining them. For a yes-or-no question, a definite no is as sufficient as a definite yes.

#### Arithmetic and algebra

Focus on the condition being asked, then choose a calculation or algebraic route.

#### Data interpretation

Check units, labels and the relevant rows before doing arithmetic. GMAT Practice also lists Table Analysis, Graphics Interpretation, Two-Part Analysis and Multi-Source Reasoning.

#### What to expect from the track

Select GMAT Practice for its filtered topic list. It excludes GRE Quantitative Comparison. The shared daily uses a common rotation and is not a GMAT-only daily.

### Worked example: a definite no is enough

**Original practice example.** n is a positive integer. Is n even?

(1) n = 2k + 1, where k is an integer.(2) n is prime.

- **Statement (1) alone:** n is always odd. The answer is definitely no, so the statement is sufficient.
- **Statement (2) alone:** n could be 2 (even) or 3 (odd). The answer changes, so it is insufficient.

**Answer: A — statement (1) alone is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not.** You do not need to find n. You need to decide whether the answer is fixed.

When testing statement (2), start again from the original question. Do not borrow the odd-number condition from statement (1). See the [DS lesson](https://quantdaily.app/drill-types/data-sufficiency) for all five answer-choice patterns and engine-generated examples.

### A short routine alongside your GMAT course

- Choose one weak skill, rather than a random mix.
- Attempt a small timed set within your available allowance.
- Classify each miss: a missing concept, a misread condition or a slow method.
- Rework the explanation without a timer. Return to your course when the concept needs teaching.

There is no GRE Quantitative Comparison in GMAT Practice. Keep GRE and GMAT preparation separate when choosing a format.

### What is free, and where does Pro fit?

The shared daily challenge is free and needs no account. Extra topic practice has a daily allowance; the app shows your remaining practice before you start. Optional sign-in keeps your progress across devices. [Quant Daily Pro](https://quantdaily.app/pro) adds unlimited topic practice. Check the current allowance and prices in the app before choosing a plan.

Quant Daily is independent supplementary practice. It does not provide a complete exam course, an official mock test, Verbal preparation or a score guarantee. Keep your course or official preparation materials for learning the syllabus, and use these drills to practise a specific skill.
